Job Summary: We are seeking a responsible, alert, and professional individual to serve as a Bouncer/Security Guard at our late night dance club. The ideal candidate will help maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for all guests and staff. Responsibilities include verifying IDs, managing crowd flow, preventing and de-escalating conflicts, and Rosetta Hall policies are followed. This role requires strong communication skills, situational awareness, and the ability to remain calm and assertive in high-energy environments. Key Responsibilities: Check IDs at the entrance to ensure all patrons meet minimum age requirements and are using valid IDs. Monitor club entrances, exits, and key areas to ensure safety and prevent overcrowding. Manage crowd behavior and maintain order inside and outside the venue. Intervene in disturbances or altercations and de-escalate situations when necessary. Escort individuals out of the club when appropriate, using non-violent techniques. Work closely with management and other security staff to enforce Rosetta Hall policies. Conduct visual inspections of bags and personal items when needed. Be prepared to contact or assist local law enforcement or emergency services if required. Write incident reports as needed for any disturbances or safety issues. Qualifications: Previous experience in security, crowd control, or hospitality preferred. Must be at least 21 years old and legally authorized to work. Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills. Ability to remain calm, composed, and assertive in stressful situations. Physically capable of standing for extended periods and handling physical intervention if necessary. Able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Familiarity with conflict resolution techniques and de-escalation strategies. Must be dependable, punctual, and professional in appearance and behavior. CPR/First Aid certification is a plus. TIPS training or other safe alcohol service training required (Rosetta will assist with obtaining this training). Working Conditions: Primarily Thursday, Friday and Saturday night shifts from 8:30pm to 2:30am. Occasional weekend day shifts based on business demands. Shifts rotate between indoors and outdoors, occasionally in the snow or rain. Loud music, dim lights and some strobes. Fast-paced, high-volume hospitality environment.
